| Hce - 07-Feb-19 07:30 Match scheduled for Friday February 1st, 2019, and later abandoned as Lecce midfielder Manuel Scavone suffered a serious head injury after 40 seconds from the starting whistle. The Italian midfielder went for a header and a clash of heads left him unconscious and on the floor. The ambulance took over ten minutes to arrive, before Scavone was removed from the field and sent to hospital. He received ambulance treatment on the pitch and regained consciousness before he was taken to hospital. He was monitored in hospital for 24 hours as a precaution but appeared to be doing well. Lecce later announced that the game had been called off and would be rearranged for a later date. |
