Hce - 17-Feb-10 23:30 Bayern - Fiorentina He did it again. Bayern-Fiorentina was ruined by this man. A ghost red card for Fiorentina, two clear double yellow not committed to Bayern, Bayern advantage goal (by Klose, that should have been sent off early) in clear offside. Seriously Uefa must put an end to this farce, it s ridiculous. |
115.178.25.18 - 08-Mag-09 08:17 No matter how much you love Chelsea or how much you hate Tom Hemming Ovrebo, you should not use any form of threat against him. But you need to do everything you possibly can to send this message to his and UEFA s attentions: when a player makes mistake, referee can issue a yellow or red card and punish him in different form, but when referee made mistakes just like Ovrebo surely did, he can have a free ride. Unless UEFA and Orvebo is bigoted, stubborn and arrogant persons, which I m sure they aren t, he should reflect on his poor performance at Stamford Bridge and admits mistakes publicly. By doing so, Ovrebo loses nothing while Chelsea already lost the hard-fought chance to be the Europe champion. Drogba may face a lengthy punishment for expressing his anger against the mistake-prone referee, but Ovrebo & UEFA will walk free on such a grave, blatant mistake he made knowingly. His referee previlege won t even entail him to look back and apologize. UEFA needs to let all of us know where is the system of check and balance in football. Where is the so-called fair play ? Where? Or is fair play meant only for footballers and referee can always be above it? |
92.18.161.53 - 07-Mag-09 18:28 Tom Henning Ovrebo is not fit to officiate at a game between kids on a Sunday morning let alone being a FIFA referee. His career is a catalogue of disasters and mistakes in important games and its alright him repeatedly stating he made errors, but thats no good to the sportsmen he has let down with his incompetencies. This man should be thrown out of football. Its alright people saying that the Chelsea players overreacted after the match but imagine you were so close to the pinnacle of your chosen profession and had it striped away by some idiot. Im sure you would be angry. |
204.109.64.2 - 07-Mag-09 16:44 the worst job of calling a game i have ever seen, this ref deserves the hate that is going to come to him from the chelsea supporters, i am a bayern munich fan that watched last nights game and to not award any penalty in last nights game is a disgrace to referiing. go to maloudas incidence and the replay shows that ovrebo was no more than 10 yards away from what was clearly a foul inside the box by at least 2 yards and he puts it 2 yards outside the box, also the pique incidence was another he was right on the spot to see that piques arm was extended fully and the ball hits his open palm not even his arm his open hand. the replay also show he was no more than 10 yards away. the uefa needs to avoid truely dumbass blind refs because the whole stadium was aware that the ball struck his hand. |
78.105.107.111 - 07-Mag-09 09:48 Chelsea - Barcelona Ovrebo is a disgrace to Football. Chelsea were cheated out of the Champions league by a completely inept Referee. UEFA should not be looking at the Chelsea players reactions after the match, but at Ovrebo s actions during the match. He should never referee a european game again. He is incompetent and he has now made the Champions league a farce. Platini and UEFA must also take a lot of blame [though I m sure they are happy with the referee as he has carried out their instructions perfectly]. Time for the big clubs of Europe to break away and ditch this politically ruled non competition. Best team lost [and I am not a Chelsea supporter] and football lost last night, not Chelsea! |
