Right, i think that your decsion to give reading (bigger club i may add) a free kick when the ball was clearly blasted at brian stock was ridiculous! Also your linesman wants demoting.

I too would love to know the answer to the above question. I was at the aforementioned match on Saturday, and paid good money to be there. There was nothing in the game, and at 0-0, you gave a decision that quite frankly, was baffling. Lovenkrands knew what he was doing. He wasn t going to score. He wasn t touched. He went down with the intention of winning a penalty. Maybe not to get Steele sent off, but to certainly win a penalty. He cheated.

How does a referee differentiate between this deliberate intent baloney and someone who is diving? It s ridiculous.

    Thank you,

    Mr J Bradbury
    Barnsley.

    Newcastle - Barnsley
    Good Morning Mr. Hedgley,

I was hoping that you can elaborate on your alleged comment that while in the penalty area -the rule is that it a trip or an attempt to trip in the penalty area-which will lead to an immediate dismissal of the accused. Is this correct? I am referring to the recent Newcastle United game against Barnsley, in that the said alleged comment resulted in a one sided game. We look forward to your comments on this pivotal matter, especially when taking in to consideration the admission of the Newcastle player at the center of the alleged incident, stating that the goal keeper made no contact on him.
    Regards,

    Mr. Moore
