76.28.196.158 - 18-Ott-12 05:51 Seattle - Salt Lake Salazar gives officiating a bad name. There is no way MLS talent will reach the levels of Europe when referees like Salazar officiate. He is consistent in allowing Gorilla Soccer, endangering the players and disregarding the rules of FIFA. Ankle sniping, tripping, pushing, pulling, wreckless charge, obstruction?...play on. He is a disgrace |
131.107.192.100 - 09-Ago-12 21:03 Sprtng KC - Seattle While it is clear that Salazar handed KC a win by obvious game changing calls in the USB Open Cup fina that were ridiculous . It is unclear to me whether this was his personal intent or an instruction from higher up in the league. Video replays can only confirm Salazar actions were corrupt, inept, or both. They cannot confirm the underlying reason. |
98.247.48.178 - 09-Ago-12 20:18 Sprtng KC - Seattle I stopped watching the game after the 2nd handball which was called against the sounders in the penalty box. The first handball was a handball on SKC in which he called off for some reason. Then after the game i reviewed both the handball and the redo Pk and both were like sigi shmidt said Ridiculous . So please to help the MLS please look into this Salazar because he is obviously not doing to good at the moment. And wasent he investigated last year for making absurd calls last year aswell? |
54.240.196.185 - 09-Ago-12 15:20 Sprtng KC - Seattle When the ref plays a larger part of the game for the winning team then the winning team s players he s doing it wrong. Get s my vote for one of the worst ref s in history. |
174.253.196.208 - 09-Ago-12 05:06 Sprtng KC - Seattle Salazar is a joke. He continually injects himself into the game when he doesn t need to. The us open cup was a huge disappointment, a non existent handball/pin then a redo on the last pk in the shoot-out? Who is this guy and why can t he let the players on the field decide the game. What an embarrassment for us soccer. |
24.16.253.78 - 09-Ago-12 04:54 Sprtng KC - Seattle Just watched the US open cup final between Sounders and Sporting Kansas City and I have to say that was one of the most inconsistently called games I have ever seen. I am biased by being a sounders fan but I believe that anyone who was watching that game can not seriously tell me that Salazar called that game fairly. |
199.181.135.135 - 07-Mag-12 18:31 Seattle - Philly AGAIN, Salazar fails as a MLS referee. Uneven is the kind way to refer to his calls. He over rules his line men when he is in midfield facing the other way and they are on the scene facing the action. When more than 30000 people are booing your calls it is more than just hometown fans not liking a call. This guy has got to go. |
174.51.234.58 - 24-Ott-10 17:18 Colorado - Salt Lake Shamefully, last night was defined by the referees, not the players. Salazar stole a win from the Rapids last night in the 90th minute. No referee should need a police escort off the pitch if he was doing his job well. |
219.89.179.211 - 25-Mag-10 09:29 Australia - Nuova Zelanda Shameful refereeing at the New Zealand v Australia friendly match. Salazar let 2 blatant attacks on Leo Bertos pass with only yellow card when expulsions were in order. Australia played it like it was rugby, very dirty game. The Aussie coach even apologized afterward and chastised his team, saying that if it were in the World Cup they would not have gotten away with it. |
203.97.202.191 - 25-Mag-10 03:00 Australia - Nuova Zelanda What a complete disgrace of a referee! There were three red card tackles in which only two received yellow cards. The game was completely dictated by a ref that lacked the ability to punish cowardly tackles. There is no way Ricardo Salazar should be allowed to ref at this level, it was evident that he was out of his league on too many occasions. Even a friendly means too much |
124.168.118.253 - 23-Mag-10 14:38 Australia - Nuova Zelanda He is officiating at the AUS vs NZ friendly tomorrow night at the MCG. Will be interesting to see! |
184.78.131.104 - 03-Mag-10 19:59 Seattle - Columbus I re-watched the game b/w Seattle Sounder vs the Columbus Crew and I thought Salazar did a solid job and didn t miss much and all calls were justified. I still do not like Salazar s mannerisms and how can you caution (yellow card) Schelotto on leaving the pitch for a substitution. That is down right immature....Schelotto has given 20 years to this game and he is well respected around the world....Salazar what have you accomplished?? Grow up, you are too wound up, the game is not about you. |
146.23.68.42 - 16-Apr-10 13:36 Seattle - Philly Seattle fans are a bunch of whiny idiots. Montero deserves at least one yellow card a match for diving / simulation. Lundjberg does so much whining and dogging referees instead of showing his sparkling ability he deserves at least one yellow per game. Your team should just shut up and play football and they would win more. Yes, MLS refs aren t the best but every team plays with the same refs so Seattle fans need to take off your vomit covered glasses and can it! |
24.35.56.242 - 01-Nov-09 07:43 Seattle - Houston MLS if Freddie L. leaves all Seattle s fan base is wasted by having thugs run this league. Salazar allows this and must be stopped! Having quality players on offense should only be stopped by quality defenders not rugby players |
24.113.35.233 - 31-Ott-09 13:37 Seattle - Houston I agree with the previous poster. And look through this guy s history. He refereed the Seattle match with LA resulting in 3 red cards and 27 fouls. He needs to get his badge pulled and sent back to whatever mean streets he came from where fights and soccer look the same. |
98.247.253.168 - 30-Ott-09 22:29 Seattle - Houston Last nights game contained by far the worst officiating I have ever seen in my entire life. We ll start with the near tackle that Onstad gave to Montero, which resulted in a yellow for each, we ll continue to the kick to the head Jaqua received with no foul called and we ll end with the goal by Jaqua that was called back so that a foul could be called for the Sounders. Any team that draws Salazar as a ref, should pray. |
