    Sorry, I should have specified 4-1-4-1. Parker was the central player and played as a defensive midfielder, sitting deep and protecting the back four with Lampard and Wilshere in front of him.

    As specified in my post above, the wide players were part of the midfield rather than playing as wide forwards.

    The second-half switch to 4-2-3-1 is spot on.
