He definitely played a 4-2-3-1 in this game (I watched it on TV). Arsenal fans were as surprised as anyone, especially because we played the same midfield earlier in the season with Wilshere as the attacking midfielder.

eugene kim - Is it possible this was a 4-1-4-1 formation? I would think Song played defensive midfield with Diaby and Wilshere playing in line with each other. Arsenal usually only play 4-2-3-1 if Fabregas is playing or Nasri covering his playmaker role, Diaby doesn t seem suited to this role though it s possible Wenger just tried him there to see how he did?
