    Is this guy the worst ref in the professional game? A week after being banished from the Premier League for his poor performance there, Wolves have to suffer his incompetence as he awards two straight red cards, the first of which in all likelihood cost Wolves the game (1-0 up before the second halve sending off, to 1-2 after). The FA were able to recind the first card, but obviously to recind both would have admitted just how bad he is. Why should the Championship have to put up with his level of incompetence once it has been decided he s not good enough for the Prem? I wouldn t even want him ref-ing my son s Sunday league game.

    I just don t understand how he s maintained his position in the premier league. Today s performance was more inept than the 4 previous involving my team. Amazingly we have only lost once in those games so this is not sour grapes from a poor loser. He really is poor and as much of a worry is the fact his performance decreases as the game goes on - is it a lack of concentration as well as ability?

    A mere 1 week demotion to the championship for Mike Jokes as punishment for the beach ball incident and he s straight back to the premier league to ensure Hull stay in the relegation zone with 4 abysmal decisions at Turf Moor.
    With all the media hype surrounding whether Phil Brown will be sacked, it s appalling that no attention is given to the fact that Hull would be in a safe league position had the FA put a competant referee in charge rather than this provenly inept one. I hope Hull sue the FA for negligence.
    Fans of all teams should be petitioning to have this ref removed from the list before their own team falls victim to this fool.

    If I could give a lower marking than poor I would have done. Mike Jones is an incompetent referee. The worst refereeing I ve seen in 35 years of watching football, 4 big decisions to make, every one wrong. A complete wanker.
